REGIONAL TAX CONTROLLER.
Job Description
:

* Minimize tax
expense through strategic and efficient tax planning methods without
compromising tax compliance and at the same time, reducing consultancy
cost.
* Enhance tax
compliance and tax management system/ documentation
* Monitor, coordinate
and advise on tax obligations including review of tax documents, tax
computations and tax returns in respect of Corporate and VAT, in ensuring tax
compliance and efficiency among the group of companies.
* Provide ad hoc tax
advice and value added services and undertake tax planning
initiatives
* Manage tax audit or
investigation performed by Tax authorities
* Render advice,
assistance and guidance to group companies in respect of tax accounting
provision when necessary
* Co-ordinate and/or
undertake tax training of tax personnel
* Act as a centre of
liaison between tax agents and the respective group companies located in the
regional offices
* Maintain good
working relationship with the local regulatory bodies
* Develop centralized
resource centre in obtaining latest tax related information and provide regular
update on relevant tax related matters

Requirements:

* Possess Accounting
Degree/Professional qualification.  Advantage for those with Brevet A,B and/or
C
* Minimum 10 years of
experience in tax related work, with at least 4 years in senior management
capacity.
* Good working
knowledge of tax planning/compliance/advisory, VAT management, transfer pricing
framework, tax audit & investigation.
* Reasonably good
with written and verbal communication and presentation skills in
English
* This position is
