Junior Research Analyst with experience in Conflict and Peace studies – Februari 2012

The Habibie Center has launched a large-scale, 30-month project to enhance available knowledge about violence dynamics and causes of social conflict in Indonesia and develop evidence-based policy advice for government and other stake-holders.
As part of this project, a team of researchers will utilize both quantitative and qualitative data on incidences of violent conflict across seven target provinces to:

  • Develop a Violence Intensity Index to systematically categorize and identify areas prone to violent conflict;
  • Produce regular policy briefs to identify emerging issues related to violent conflict and offer policy solutions to stake-holders;
  • Conduct two large-scale mixed-methods studies in Indonesia, each of which will look in depth at longer-term issues related to violence and its management in Indonesia.

These studies will use quantitative data as well as qualitative field data.

Research findings will, in turn, be disseminated through regular publications, as well as in national seminars and regional workshops. Policy recommendations will be socialized regularly to key government counterparts and civil society actors.

Organizational Context
The Habibie Center will provide the analysis for the National Violence Monitoring Scheme (NVMS), a program which will work in close partnership with the Office of the Deputy Minister for Social Vulnerability in the Coordinating Ministry for People’s Welfare (Kemenkokesra). THC will provide timely policy-relevant analysis and a deeper investigation of issues underlying patterns of violence in seven Indonesian provinces — Aceh, Maluku, Central Sulawesi, Jabodetabek, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Nusa Tenggara Barat, and Papua. In addition, THC’s analytical activities will be accompanied by a process of active dissemination of research findings aimed at increasing the level of civil society participation in a public discourse on conflict issues and policy responses. The violence database will be extended on an ongoing basis over a period of 30 months.

Junior Research Analyst (x2)
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Duration: 28 months (start mid February 2012), full-time (5 day or 35-40 hours per week). Initial one-year hire period (extensible based on performance).

Description of Responsibilities
Junior Research Analysts will have a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting Senior Research Analysts in developing research designs;
  • Collecting, managing and analyzing data and other information;
  • Providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and producing research reports;
  • Responsible for quarterly publications (in English and Indonesian);
  • Organizing seminars and workshops;
  • Liaising with the quantitative and qualitative data teams;
  • Designing, testing and updating a “Violence Intensity Index”.

Core Competencies

  • Based in Jakarta, with willingness to regular travel to regions throughout Indonesia;
  • Respect local culture and values;
  • Cooperate and coordinate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure good communication, especially related to mechanisms involving the project’s implementation;
  • Identifying and building networks with key persons in the regions covered;
  • Build coordination with local partners by developing and maintaining good lines of communication and relationships with local authorities and local communities;
  • Travel to several conflict areas to conduct fieldwork.
  • Ability to commit to the project on a full-time basis.

Qualifications
Education:

  • An undergraduate (Bachelors) degree in social sciences;

Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflict and development issues in Indonesia;
  • Professional maturity, with strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Strong research, writing, analytical and organizational skills;
  • Skilled in various computer applications (Microsoft Office, Internet, proficiency in research software application);
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including local research organizations, governments and non-government organizations;
  • Integrity, professional discretion and an ability to interact effectively with diverse partners;

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent Indonesian and English language skills.

Persyaratan Umum bagi seluruh posisi dan seluruh pelamar:

  • Warga Negara Indonesia.
  • Berijazah Sarjana (S1) dengan jurusan pendidikan sesuai persyaratan.
  • Menguasai Bahasa Inggris dengan baik (lisan dan tulisan).
  • Diutamakan memiliki pengalaman berorganisasi dan pengalaman kerja.
  • Sehat mental dan fisik, tinggi dan berat badan proporsional.
  • Tidak pernah diberhentikan sebagai karyawan karena suatu pelanggaran oleh pemberi kerja sebelumnya.
  • Bersedia ditempatkan di seluruh wilayah kerja Perusahaan.

Persyaratan Khusus untuk pelamar eksternal:

  • Berijazah Sarjana (S1) dari Perguruan Tinggi Negeri / Perguruan Tinggi Swasta yang memiliki reputasi atau dari Perguruan Tinggi Luar Negeri yang telah mendapat pengesahan dari Instansi yang berwenang untuk mengeluarkan akreditasi.
  • Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) minimal 3,00 (skala 4).
  • Usia maksimal 28 (dua puluh delapan) tahun pada tanggal 31 Desember 2011.

Persyaratan Khusus untuk pelamar internal:

  • Merupakan karyawan tetap yang terdaftar di Perusahaan
  • Berijazah Sarjana (S1) dari Perguruan Tinggi Negeri / Perguruan Tinggi Swasta yang memiliki reputasi atau dari Perguruan Tinggi Luar Negeri yang telah mendapat pengesahan dari Instansi yang berwenang untuk mengeluarkan akreditasi.
  • Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) minimal 2,75 (skala 4).
  • Ketentuan usia adalah tidak lebih dari 35 tahun pada tanggal 31 Desember 2011.

KETENTUAN LAIN :

  1. Aplikasi lamaran hanya melalui on-line . Tidak ada jalur lain yang digunakan untuk pengiriman lamaran.
  2. Bagi Pelamar yang pernah mengirimkan lamaran ke PT Jasa Marga (Persero) diwajibkan memperbaharui lamaran dengan tatacara ini.
  3. Pelamar wajib memiliki alamat e-mail pribadi yang masih aktif untuk dapat mengikuti proses seleksi ini. Kami tidak melayani alamat e-mail yang salah input oleh pelamar.
  4. Setelah mengisi formulir aplikasi dan mengirimkannya kembali secara on-line , pelamar akan mendapat konfirmasi registrasi . Konfirmasi tersebut berisi nomor registrasi yang akan digunakan selama proses seleksi. Anda tidak dapat menerima e-mail registrasi apabila alamat e-mail yang anda input salah dan atau sudah tidak aktif, sehingga anda tidak bisa log-in untuk pengumuman selanjutnya.
  5. Pelamar hanya diperkenankan melakukan satu kali registrasi on-line. Untuk itu pastikan Anda telah menuliskan semua data dengan benar, sebelum menekan tombol KIRIM
  6. Pelamar wajib mengisi aplikasi dengan data/informasi yang sebenar-benarnya karena data ini akan diklarifikasi dengan benar saat pelaksanaan verifikasi dokumen.
  7. Masa waktu registrasi registrasi on-line adalah 12 – 20 November 2011
  8. Aplikasi yang masuk setelah batas akhir registrasi dan atau tidak melamar secara on-line , dianggap tidak berlaku.
  9. Keputusan hasil seleksi bersifat mutlak dan tidak dapat diganggu gugat.
  10. Pada setiap tahapan seleksi, hanya pelamar yang dinyatakan lulus dapat masuk ke tahap seleksi berikutnya.
  11. Proses rekrutmen dan seleksi ini tidak dikenakan biaya apapun .
  12. Segala biaya transportasi dan akomodasi para pelamar menjadi tanggungan pribadi pelamar.
  13. Pengumuman hasil seleksi administrasi dan pelamar yang berhak mengikuti seleksi selanjutnya dapat dilihat di website www.ppm-rekrutmen.com padaSabtu, 26 November 2011 pukul 21.00 wib.

PENTING UNTUK DIPERSIAPKAN :

  1. Bagi Anda yang kemudian dinyatakan lolos seleksi tahap I , akan diminta hadir pada Tes Tahap II di lokasi dan waktu yang tercantum kemudian dengan membawa dokumen dan kelengkapan sebagai berikut :
    1. Kartu Tanda Penduduk yang masih berlaku, asli dan fotocopy
    2. Fotocopy ijazah yang sesuai dengan persyaratan pendidikan dan telah dilegalisir oleh pejabat berwenang
    3. Fotocopy transkrip nilai yang telah dilegalisir oleh pejabat berwenang
    4. Fotocopy sertifikat keahlian lainnya yang relevan
    5. Data Riwayat Hidup yang harus didownload dari website www.ppm-rekrutmen.com setelah Anda log in, data riwayat hidup yang telah diisi diserahkan dalam bentuk print out
    6. Kartu Peserta Seleksi yang harus didownload dari website http://www.ppm-rekrutmen.com setelah Anda log in. Mohon dilengkapi dan ditempel foto, kemudian dibawa dalam bentuk print out pada setiap tahapan tes
    7. Pas Foto Berwarna ukuran 4 x 6 sebanyak 2 lembar
    8. Surat Pernyataan yang harus didownload dari website www.ppm-rekrutmen.com setelah Anda log in, surat pernyataan yang telah diisi dan ditandatangani di atas materai diserahkan dalam bentuk print out
    9. Alat tulis: pensil 2B, bolpoint, dan penghapus
  2. Seluruh berkas dimasukkan ke dalam map folio berwarna biru, yang sudah dituliskan nama dan nomor registrasi Anda.
  3. Mohon mempersiapkan seluruh dokumen dengan lengkap dan benar. Jika ditemukan ketidaklengkapan dokumen dan/atau ketidaksesuaian data pada dokumen dengan berkas lamaran, Anda akan dinyatakan gugur pada Tes Tahap II

2. Tes Tahap II : Tes Psikologis dan Tes Pengetahuan Akademik
Waktu : 10 Desember 2011 (rincian jadwal wawancara dapat dilihat pada saat mengakses pengumuman hasil tes tahap I via website)
Jenis tes : tatap muka
Pengumuman : Senin, 12 Desember 2011 via website pukul 19.00
3. Tes Tahap III : Wawancara Psikologis dan Diskusi Kelompok
Waktu : 13 – 17 Desember 2011 (rincian jadwal wawancara dapat dilihat pada saat mengakses pengumuman hasil tes tahap II via website)
Jenis tes : tatap muka
Pengumuman : Rabu, 28 Desember 2011 via website pukul 19.00
4. Tes Tahap IV : Wawancara User (waktu dan lokasi diberitahu kemudian)
5. Tes Tahap V : Tes Kesehatan (waktu dan lokasi diberitahu kemudian)
6. Tes Tahap VI : Program orientasi calon karyawan selama 6 (enam) bulan
Form aplikasi untuk pelamar eksternal Pelamar eksternal adalah pelamar umum, berasal dari masyarakat luas yang sesuai dengan persyaratan yang diminta
Form aplikasi untuk pelamar internal Pelamar internal adalah pelamar yang saat ini berstatus sebagai karyawan tetap PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk . Bagi para karyawan outsourcing, honorer, kontrak, mitra kerja di jajaran PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk masuk ke dalam kelompok pelamar eksternal.
